Mojalefa, M.J. (Mawatle Jeremiah), 1948-2017-01-202017-01-202017-042016http://hdl.handle.net/2263/58580Dissertation (MA (African Languages))--University of Pretoria, 2016.The research explained the legend and the historical narrative by using the writings of Sepedi. The argument is aimed at solving the conflict of difficult ideas connected with the explanation of the way the distinction between the legend and historical narrative is developed by Guma (1996), Finnegan (1970) and Mathivha (1973). Though few earlier researchers themselves explained the historical narrative and legend, such narratives themselves were considered to be the second problem (not the first) in this research. This research tried to solve the insurmountable question by focusing on the narrative design written by Make (1963), Sello sa Tonki le Pere and that of Maloma (1972) called Marabgrang, and by so doing thet were eager to give description to bring to the light the difference between historical narrative and the legend.Sepedi2017 University of Pretoria.
