The accuracy and the interest of the use of a nodal model in the frame of optimization process for heat exchanger geometries composed of a base pattern such as offset strip fins (OSF) geometries is detailed. Then an example of optimization of OSF profiles using the nodal model and a genetic algorithm is performed.PDF© 2014 University of Pretoria. All rights reserved.
