A variety of postmodern techniques were used to engage the adolescent in life design conversations about a preferred and meaningful future. Post-intervention, the individual seemed more capable of making a career choice with a sense of empowerment or personal agency. Life design counselling enabled the individual to engage in meaningful career exploration.en© 2011 Elliot & FitzpatrickStutteringLife designCareer constructionStutterers -- CounselingStuttering in adolescence -- CounselingThe value of life design counselling for an adolescent who stuttersArticle
