Changes in blood gas included a decline in arterial oxygen tension (pO₂) combined with a respiratory alkalosis. Although the sheep became hypoxaemic, blood-gas changes associated with respiratory failure were not observed.en© ARC-Onderstepoort (original). © University of Pretoria.
