Description

Clinical history : 43-year-old male admitted with unresolved pneumonia, which did not respond to antibiotic treatment.
Radiological diagnosis of lung abscess or malignancy was made and five days before death purpura developed.
Autopsy findings : 1. Granulomas in both lungs in relation to the bronchi.
2. Proliferative glomerulonephritis.
3. Vascular lesion in spleen, heart and gastro-intestinal system with ulceration in intestine.
Diagnosis: Wegener's granulomatosis
