Description

Clinical history : A male patient, 65-years of age with sudden onset of facial oedema, pulsating veins in neck and murmur in the right second intercostal space.
A positive Wassermann blood test was present.
Autopsy findings : 1. oedema of upper half of body.
2. Aneurysm of aortic arch penetrating into superior vena cava.
Diagnosis: Syphilitic aorta aneurysm penetrating into vena cava superior
