Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A male child 9 years old with gastro-enteritis and dehydration.
A lower lobe abscess was found on X-ray in the left lung but he did not improve on treatment and clinical diagnosis of cerebral abscess was made.
Autopsy findings : 1. Acute suppurative sinusitis.
2. Sagittal sinus thrombosis with septic cortical thrombophlebitis.
3. Cerebral infarction.
4. Pulmonary embolism.
5. Abscess lower lobe left lung.
Diagnosis: Thrombophlebitis with sinus sagittalis
