dc.description.abstract | Albert Johannes van Reenen (1848-1930) was a government official in the district Tulbagh as well as a Justice of the Peace in Tulbagh and Paarl. His son Reenen Jacob van Reenen (1884-1935) was a civil engineer, amateur artists, and rock art researcher. The Van Reenen Collection was donated by Ms Susanna Henrietta van Reenen née de Villiers (1847-1930), the wife of AJ van Reenen, in 1930. The one box consists of personal documents of both as well as newspaper clippings from 1903-1929. | |
