Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A three month old white male baby admitted with history of cough for three weeks.
The day before admission his condition worsened and he became short of breath and cyanotic.
Clinical examination showed tachycardia of 180/200/min and X-rays of chest showed broadening of the mediastinum due to possible cardiomegaly.
Autopsy findings : 1. A well circumscribed, hard, white tumour IO x 6 x 6cm in size present in the inter-ventricular septum of the heart.
2. Venous congestion of lungs, liver and kidneys.
Diagnosis: Myocardial fibroma
