dc.description.abstractThe hymn Contra Haereses XXV by Ephrem is translated into English and the use of poetic devices such as metaphor, antithesis, apostrophe, invocatio, hyperbole and acoustic techniques to enhance the argumentative quality of the hymn are discussed.en
