dc.description.abstractIn his response to a recent reference in Stoep Talk [a column in The Star] to the "slight error" in the placing of the aperture through which a beam of light is designed to strike the sarcophagus at noon on 16 December, Mr. Gerard Moerdyk, architect of the Voortrekker Monument, explained the methods he adopted in deciding where the aperture should be placed.en
