Description
Clinical history : A 40 year old female patient was diagnosed with pleuritis in November 1964; a thoracotomy in October 1965 showed right-sided pleural mesothelioma.
The tumour responded to therapy with Natulan and radioactive cobalt but recurrence in April 1967 led to death in September 1967.
Autopsy findings : 1. Pleural mesothelioma of right lung with direct lymphatic; infiltration including hilar lymph nodes.
2. Confluent bronchopneumonia.
Diagnosis: Pleural mesothelioma
