Description
Clinical history : A 16 year old female with heart failure with severe jaundice.
The patient had a mitral systolic and diastolic noise.
Autopsy findings : 1. Dilation of the left ventricle with mitral thrombosis.
2. No valve scars and no signs of coronary closure.
3. Centrilobular congestion, fatty liver and gal retention of the liver.
4. Infarction of the inferior lobe of the right lung with pulmonary thrombosis.
5. Chronic venous congestion.
Diagnosis: Idiopathic endocardiomyopathy
