Description
Clinical history : A 18 year old female patient suffered severe haematemesis due to oesophageal varices.
No hepatomegaly or ascites were present and splenogram showed intra-hepatic venous obstruction.
Autopsy findings : 1. Cavernous transformation of vena porta.
2. Portal hypertension with splenomegaly and oesophageal varices.
Diagnosis: Oesophageal varices
