Description
Clinical history : A 5 year old male child with two months history of ataxi.
At admission the patient could scarcely walk and was vomiting.
Ventriculogram showed dilatation at lateral ventricles of brain and shifting of third ventricle.
At operation an inoperable tumour of the pons was present.
Autopsy findings : Grade II - III astrocytoma of pons with obstruction of fourth ventricle and internal hydrocephalus.
Diagnosis: Astrocytoma of pons and hydrocephalus
