Abstract

In New Zealand sodium chlorate is recommended as an efficient destroyer of ragwort, while reports from the United States of America state it to be effective as a general weed-killer. The fact that sodium chlorate is of comparative low toxicity to stock would seem to warrant the conducting of experiments with a view to ascertaining its value as a general weed-killer on South African pastures.
