dc.description	Based on an ancient sculpture of Cleopatra VII, the painting plays with the visible portrait of a woman and the invisible black background. Like in other paintings such as his 1978 Face, Coetzee uses black to cover up most of the image, in order for the rest of the artwork to remain a secret.	en_ZA
