Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A 34 year old male with a hsitory of two operations for mitral incompentence.
An artrificial pericardial valve was placed but a Starr-Edwards valve ahd to be later placed.
The patient then developed severe heart failure with tricuspid incompentence.
Autopsy findings : 1. A considerably large heart with a Starr-Edward valve in the mitral area.
2. Wide spread signs of venous congestion.
Diagnosis: Starr Edward's valve which had partially closed
