dc.descriptionClinical history : A male child 6 years old has history of tuberculosis affecting the hilar area of the right lung.
dc.descriptionThe condition cleared after treatment but atelectasis of the upper lobe of the lung remained.
dc.descriptionBronchogram revealed cylindrical bronchiectasis and upper lobe lobectomy was performed.
dc.descriptionAutopsy findings : Upper lobe of right lung with fibrosis in the hilar area and total bronchial obstruction resulting in bronchiectasis.
dc.descriptionThe bronchi contain inspissated mucus.
dc.descriptionSome smaller bronchi show partial obstruction.
dc.descriptionHistological examination revealed the presence of loose connective tissue but no remaining tuberculous infection.
dc.descriptionDiagnosis: Sections show only signs of fibrosis and no remaining tuberculous infection was found.
