dc.description.abstractWe use mixed three term recurrence relations typically satis ed by classical orthogonal polynomials from sequences corresponding to di erent parameters to derive upper (lower) bounds for the smallest (largest) zeros of Jacobi, Laguerre and Gegenbauer polynomials.en
