Description
Clinical history : A female patient 25 years old with incomplete abortion was treated with blood transfusion for low haemoglobin value before a uterine curettage was done.
The patient collapsed suddenly the next day and heart massage was unsuccessful.
Autopsy findings : 1. Acute endometritis.
2. Bilateral adrenal haemorrhage and necrosis.
3. Bilateral renal cortical necrosis.
4. Centrilobular liver cell necrosis
Diagnosis: Bilateral renal cortical necrosis with adrenal haemorrhage
