dc.descriptionClinical history : A 72 year old man with acute urine retention developed haematemesis.
dc.descriptionAt operation a large fungating tumour was found on the lesser curvature of the stomach but after gastrectomy no tumour was present in the stomach.
dc.descriptionAutopsy findings : 1. Well differentiated mucous secreting adenocarcinoma of body and tail of pancreas with obstruction of vena lienalis and vena porta and secondary oesophageal varices.
dc.description2. Tumour metastases in liver, right lung and para-aortic lymph nodes.
dc.description3. Paget's disease of bone in skull.
dc.description4. Benign adenomatous hyperplasia of the prostate.
dc.descriptionDiagnosis: 1. Adenocarcinoma of body and tail of pancreas.
