Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A female patient admitted in heart failure that developed after recent pregnancy.
She developed thrombosis in the superficial neck veins and jaundice and terminally raised serum urea values and purpura.
Autopsy findings : Cardiomegaly with dilation of both ventricles and mural thrombi in left and right ventricle and atrium.
Infracts in lower lobes of both lungs and both kidneys.
Thrombosis of vena jugularis interna on both sides and v. lienalis and vena porta.
Fatty change in liver with cholestasis
Diagnosis: Idiopathic myocardiopathy with mural thrombosis and pulmonary and systemic infarction
