This report consists of a thorough literature review conducted on the topic of this project. It also contains the planning procedures taken in preparation of this project to enable Modelpak to bring their old, unkempt warehouse back into effective/efficient production. Facilities planning is much more difficult to implement than the designing process itself. The biggest challenge is going to be to sell the project to Modelpak, and implementing the procedures mentioned in this document. Material handling is an important part of this project, because it represents an estimated 15% to 70% of the total cost of a manufactured product. Mechanization plays an enormous role in the material handling section.en_US
