Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A male patient, 33-years old, was admitted in coma.
He had neck stiffness and positive Kernig sign and clinical diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis after examination of cerebrospinal fluid.
He did not respond to treatment and died six weeks after admission.
Autopsy findings : 1. Tuberculous meningitis.
2. Old chronic pulmonary tuberculosis with involvement of mediastinal lymph nodes.
3. Bilharziasis of bladder.
Diagnosis: Tuberculous meningitis with fibrosis in midbrain region and beginning hydrocephalus
