Description
Clinical history : A 49 year old male with severe ascites and a linitis plastica was found during a laparotomy.
The patient was treated with cobalt 60 and 5 fluorouracil.
Autopsy findings : 1. Mucus secreting carcinoma in the stomach with linitis plastica.
2. Metastasis in the mesentry, omentum, para-aortic glands, diaphragm, lung and bone marrow.
Diagnosis: Diaphragmatic sheet as a result of metastatic carcinoma
