dc.descriptionClinical history : A 72 year old male presented with acute urine retention.
dc.descriptionHematemesis developed but no lesion was found with barium meal.
dc.descriptionAt operation a large fungating tumour in the region of the lesser curvature of the stomach was resected; no tumour of the stomach itself was found.
dc.descriptionThe patient died 20 hours after operation.
dc.descriptionAutopsy findings : 1. Well differentiated mucous secreting adenocarcinoma of the body and tail of the pancreas with occlusion of vena lienalis and vena porta and secondary oesophageal varices.
dc.description2. Tumour metastases in liver, right lung and para-aortic lymph nodes.
dc.description3. Paget's disease of skull.
dc.description4. Benign prostate hypertrophy.
