Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A 2 year old with ventricular heart failure and right ventricular complication with hepatomegaly.
An AV communication was seen with a pulmonary to systemic flow of 4:1.
Autopsy findings : 1. Atrial septal defect of the ostium premum type.
2. Pronounced right ventricular hypertrophy and dilation.
3. Congenital split in the mitral valve.
Diagnosis: Atrial septal defect of the osteum primum type with innate split in the mitral valve
