Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A 41 year old white male patient with diagnosis of diabetes mellitusfor 16 years.
He received insulin treatment and was admitted to hospital with septic right foot.
Previous amputation of 1st and 5th toes right foot and 5th toe left foot was done.
History of ischaemic heart disease was present and examination showed 4+ albuminurea.
He developed biventricular heart failure.
Autopsy findings : 1. Ischaemic heart disease with coronary atherosclerosis and biventricular heart failure.
2. Diabetic glomerulosclerosis.
3. Widespread arterial atherosclerosis.
Diagnosis: Diabetic glomerulosclerosis
