Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A 59 year old male with mitral insufficency and investigation showed prolapse of the mitral valve as wel as enlarged left atrium and ventricle and later experienced asystolic attacks.
Autopsy findings : 1. Mocoidal degeneration of the mitral valve with ruptur of one of the chordae and mitral insufficiency.
2. Centri-nodular emphysema.
3. Moderate to severe atherosclerosis.
Diagnosis: Mucoidal degeneration of the mitral with rupture of the chordae and mitral insufficiency
