Description
Clinical history : A man 3 7 years old diagnosed with hypertension for 4 years (blood pressure reading up to 240/130).
Treatment with spironolactone was unsuccessful. Serum aldosterone levels were raised but renin and potassium levels low.
Computer tomography and arteriography showed no tumour but at operation a tumour was present in the left adrenal gland.
Diagnosis: Cortical adenoma causing Conn syndrome
