Description
Clinical history : A 16-year old male patient with headache and vomiting had hydrocephalus and at operation a cerebral tumour in the region of the 4th ventricle was removed.
Post-operative radiotherapy was given but the patient's condition deteriorated.
Autopsy findings : 1. Residual tumour tissue in the cerebellum and secondary infection.
2. Left femoral vein thrombosis.
Diagnosis: Astrocytoma
