Description
Clinical history : A 60 year old female with history of repeated heart failure with ascites.
No cause for the heart failure was found and the patient was diagnosed with idiopathic endomyocardiopathy .
Radiographs show a weakened pulse of the globular, enlarged heart.
Autopsy findings : 1. Idiopathic endomyocardiopathy.
2. Signs if chronic venous congestion and ascites.
3. Infarction of the inferior lobe of the left lung.
4. Chronic pyelonephritis.
Diagnosis: Idiopathic endomyocarditus with left ventricle with mural thrombosis
