Abstract

Over the years, various impression techniques and materials for denture fabrication have been developed. Advances were based on a deep understanding of oral anatomy and the desire to preserve the integrity of soft tissues while ensuring a stable and retentive fit for the prostheses. The selection of the appropriate impression materials and technique directly influences the biomechanics of the final denture. It is fundamental to producing more detailed and accurate impressions that better serve patient needs. The field of removable prosthodontics is poised for further advancements as digital technology continues to evolve.
