| dc.description.abstract | Despite the prevalence of hearing loss, people often delay seeking hearing help and taking up hearing aids. This is partly due to limited access to hearing health care services and the high cost of hearing devices. Newer service delivery models like over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids and decentralized community-based models are intended to make hearing health care more accessible and affordable. However, a range of other factors also influence hearing aid uptake. | en_US |
