At Bettie Cilliers-Barnard’s exhibition in July 1949 in the Extramural Building of the University of Pretoria she exhibited 33 artworks. No 10 “Herero vrou” was donated to the University after the show. This work is still very linear like her earlier works, but it shows expressionistic use of colour and very skillful planar treatment.en_ZA
