Description
Clinical history : A 23 year old male with a history of diabetes mellitus for 4 years and a liver abcess which perforated into the abdomen prior to death.
The patient also developed a fever and pain in the left kidney.
Autopsy findings : 1. Hydronephrosis with acute pyelonephritis and papillary necrosis.
2. Multiple kidney papillary in the ureters.
Diagnosis: Acute devouring pyelonephritis with signs of papillary necrosis
