British military intelligence in the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902)

Abstract

The thesis analyses the role of British Military Intelligence during the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902) and considers its impact on military developments during the war. It addresses the organisation and development of the War Office Intelligence Division in London, responsible for strategic Intelligence before the war, as well as the Field Intelligence Department, responsible for tactical Intelligence during the war.
