dc.description.abstractOpuntia tomentosa Salm-Dyck is recorded as having become naturalised in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. A description and illustrations of the species in South Africa are provided, along with a discussion of the characters that distinguish it from Opuntia ficusindica (L.) Mill., the only other tree-like opuntia that has become naturalised in the country.en_US
