Description
Clinical history : A 76 year old female patient diagnosed with gastric carcinoma in 1966 did not respond to radio and chemotherapy.
Ascites developed in January 1966 and she died in April of that year.
Autopsy findings : 1. Mucus secreting adenocarcinoma of the stomach with lienitis plastica appearance.
2. Organised thrombus in both pulmonary arteries.
Diagnosis: Lienitis plastica (leather bottle stomach) due to mucus secreting adenocarcinoma
