dc.description.abstractThe paper will explore the financial state of South African Cities through sharing critical data developed for the South African Cities Network 2022 State of City Finances Report, which includes a 10-year period analysis. It will then look at the key elements of Spatial Transformation through a review of key Spatial Transformation indicators. Finally the paper will posit some areas of concern and some recommendations for Cities in whether they can afford or afford not to fund Spatial Transformation?
