| dc.description.abstract | During the course of a study on Anoplura material in the Onderstepoort collection, several specimens of the genus Linognathus were found which seemed to be incorrectly classified. A comparison with the respective types confirmed the suspicion and showed that these forms represent five distinct and so far undescribed species. Furthermore, a new species of Haematopinus collected recently off Eland, is also described in this paper. The types of all six new species are in the Onderstepoort collection. | en_ZA |
