dc.descriptionClinical history : A female patient was admitted to the hospital after the diagnosis of extra-uterine full term pregnancy was made.
dc.descriptionAt laparotomy the baby was alive and the placenta was found adhered to the spleen, stomach and liver.
dc.descriptionNo spontaneous respiration occurred however and resuscitation attempts with oxygen under pressure failed.
dc.descriptionAutopsy findings : Consolidation of both lungs with central yellowish areas.
dc.descriptionHistological examination showed alveolar distension with oedema fluid, fibrin, lipid material and lipid filled macrophage as well as acute inflammatory exudate.
dc.descriptionDiagnosis: Alveolar proteinosis
