| dc.description | Clinical history : A female patient was admitted to the hospital after the diagnosis of extra-uterine full term pregnancy was made. | |
| dc.description | At laparotomy the baby was alive and the placenta was found adhered to the spleen, stomach and liver. | |
| dc.description | No spontaneous respiration occurred however and resuscitation attempts with oxygen under pressure failed. | |

| dc.description | Histological examination showed alveolar distension with oedema fluid, fibrin, lipid material and lipid filled macrophage as well as acute inflammatory exudate. | |
