Description
Dr FV Engelenburg wrote a proposal in 1933 to the Pretoria City Council to consider purchasing the Spirit of Sport from Eloff. After nearly three years of debate it was finally bought and placed, in 1936, at the Eastern Sports Grounds (Loftus Versveldt). It was then moved in 1980 to Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria West.
