Abstract

Elevation of the south front, and part plan of the stoep, of the Elsenburg Cape Dutch homestead near Mulder's Vlei, drawn by prof. Geoffrey Pearse for his book "Eighteenth Century Architecture in South Africa" - see pages 46-47 for a description, and Pate 83 for the drawing. The facade features an entrance door with elaborate teak door surround, and a convex-concave gable.
