Description
Clinical history : A premature male baby was admitted to hospital after three days of severe vomiting.
A diagnosis of pyloric stenosis was made but the baby died shortly after admission
Autopsy findings : 1. Bilateral widespread intra-alveolar pulmonary haemorrhage.
2. Signs of prematurity.
3. No signs of pyloric stenosis.
Diagnosis: Wide-spread intra-pulmonal bleeding of the new-born
