Description
Clinical history : A 37 year old female patient with long history of obesity and hypertension.
After both clinical and biochemical examination the diagnosis of Cushing syndrome was made.
Subtotal adrenalectomy for hyperplasia was done (combined weight of gland tissue 76 g).
The patient died suddenly the following day.
Autopsy findings : I. Severe obesity, hirsutism and macroscopic signs of Cushing syndrome.
2. Early bronchopneumonia.
3. A few Crooke cells in pituitary gland.
Diagnosis: Bilateral adrenal hyperplasia with Cushing syndrome
