| dc.description.abstract | Mr David Swanepoel served as librarian of the Onderstepoort Veterinary Research (OVR) Institute from his appointment in 1985 until retiring in 2020 but passed away shortly afterwards. David was a co-opted founder member of the SAVA's Veterinary History Committee (VHC) in 1995 and enthusiastically participated in all its activities and projects, including authoring a chapter on the OVR Library in the Onderstepoort 1908- 2008 book. His sustained, highly productive contribution to veterinary science makes David Swanepoel a worthy recipient of a posthumous conferral of this honour. | en_US |
