Description
Clinical history : A 4 year old girl had a sudden attack of grandma! epilepsy.
Thereafter she became stuporous and went into coma.
Treatment on the Bird respirator was unsuccessful.
Autopsy findings : A large tumour in the thalamic region on the right side with compression of right lateral ventricle and brain displacement to the left.
Areas of haemorrhage was found in the tumour.
Diagnosis: Astrocytoma grade IV (glioblastoma multiforme)
