| dc.description | Clinical history : A 53 year old male patient well known rugby player had endarterectomy of iliac arteries 4 years previously. | |
| dc.description | He was admitted with atrial fibrillation, heart failure and pulmonary oedema. | |
| dc.description | Myocardial infarction was diagnosed with aneurysmal dilatation of left ventricle. | |
| dc.description | Severe haemoptysis, cyanosis and loss of consciousness pointed to extension of infarction. | |
| dc.description | Artificial respiration was started and the heart failure signs improved but the patient remained unconscious. | |
| dc.description | Before death monoplegia of right arm, Cheyne-Stokes respiration and bradycardia developed. | |
